COMMUNICATIONS.

185. Taipo Road adjoining Castle Peak Road: Improvements. The Contract for the improvements to Taipo Road at its junction with Castle Peak Road was awarded to Messrs. Hop Hing & Son on 11th May, 1933, and the work was satisfactorily completed by the end of the year. In connection with this work the 18" cast iron trunk water main from Kowloon Slow Sand Filters was relaid along the new portion of the road for a length of 2,075 feet. 1,400 feet of the old main were recovered by the end of the year.
