82. Two Vernacular Masters were appointed, one to replace one Vernacular Master who resigned and the other to teach Urdu in the Indian School.
33. There were twenty-one Students-in-Training at the University of Hong Kong. Of the five who graduated in December, three were appointed University Trained Teachers and two were appointed University Trained Mistresses.
BOARD OF EDUCATION,
34. The Board of Education met three times during the year. Mr. A. el Arculli, Rev. Fr. Byrne, S.J., Ph.D., Very Rev. A. Swann, M.A., D.S.C. and Mr. B. Wylie, whose terms of office had expired, were appointed for a further term of two years. Rev. A. D. Stewart resigned from the Board on his departure for England, having been on the Board since its inception in 1920. Chevalier J. M. Alves resigned from the Board on 22nd January, 1933, after serving on the Board for eight years.
Mr. Leo D'Almada e Castro, Jr. was appointed a member of the Board on 13th February, 1933.

36. Several amendments of, and additions to, the Regulations for the Control and Supervision of Schools under Section 12 of the Education Ordinance of 1913, were recommended by the Board and were approved by Government.
