138. Chatham Road Extension.--This work was referred to in paragraph 229 of last year's Report. The Contract was satisfactorily completed on 1st November, 1932.

139. Improving existing main roads for motor traffic. Portions of Nathan Road, Prince Edward Road and Lai Chi Kok Road were reconditioned and strengthened with 7" re-inforced cement concrete surfacing.

140. Exhumation of Chinese Cemeteries.--No expenditure was incurred.
141. Chinese Cemeteries-Laying out new areas.--Work carried out under this head is also alluded to in paragraph 32 of this Report.

142. Refuse Dump at Sung Wong Toi.--The contract for this work was awarded to Messrs. Sang Lee & Co.
The progress was satisfactory. The contract was handed over to Port Development Office on 31st December, 1932.

143. Rewiring of Government Buildings Nos. 1 to 6 Cox's Path; 1 to 8 Cox's Road; Reclamation Street Market and Royal Observatory were completely rewired for fans and lights. Work on rewiring of Yaumati Police Station was commenced but not completed.

144. Rewiring of Yaumati Government School.--Rewired for electric lights and fans.

145. Resumption of Ma Tau Wei Village.--Expenditure incurred in connection with the removal of the village owing to Town Planning.
