To accommodate the personnel of this sub-station complete renovation and alterations were carried out to the Old No. 2 Police Station. This part of the work was carried out by Messrs. Sang Lee & Co. under their Contract for the Maintenance of Buildings.

119. Bay View Police Station. Hut to accommodate 10 double bunks. This work consisted of the erection of a timber hut at the rear of Bay View Police Station to accommodate Chinese Police. The work was executed under the Contract for Maintenance of Buildings and was satisfactorily completed about the end of June.

121. Reconstruction of Bowen Road Conduit - East of Stubbs Road. Reconstruction was completed in 1931 and the only charges incurred were for road reinstatement.

122. Back Lane Service Pipes. 4,207 feet of 11⁄2″ to 3″ diameter wrought iron piping were laid as subsidiary mains in back lanes and 388 houses were connected to these service pipes.

123. New Principal Mains in City. The following work was carried out under this head: 1,706 feet of 12″ diameter main (1,170 feet of cast iron pipes and 536 feet of steel pipes) were laid in Queen's Road West from Chung Ching Street to Whitty Street. 900 feet of 8″ diameter cast iron main were laid in Wanchai Road from Johnston Road to Queen's Road East. 423 feet of 6″ diameter cast iron main were laid off the new 12″ main in Queen's Road West, in French Street, Water Street, and Kwong Fung Terrace. Thirty-six feet of 6″ diameter cast iron main were laid off the new 8″ main in Wanchai Road, in Stone Nullah Lane. 495 feet of 6″ diameter cast iron main were laid in Great George Street.
