A survey of Agricultural Land of 25 acres to the South of Un Long Market was made in connection with the resumption and exchange of land for building purposes, also a revised survey of Un Long Market.

A survey of the new 9 holes Golf Course at Fanling was made. This covered an area of 85 acres and entailed traverses of 20,600 feet in length, the closing error of which was 1 in 3500 with an angular misclose of 1 minute. The work being of a subsidiary nature miscloses were accepted and the work was plotted to a scale of 1/2400 on Colony Sheets.

The following villages etc. in the Sap Pat Heung Valley were surveyed and plotted:-Leung Uk Chuen, Lam Uk Chuen, Chuk Lan Chuen, Keng Tau Chuen, Shueng Chuen, Kong Tau Chuen, San Chuen, Kong Tau Chuen, Lo Wai, Kong Tau Chuen Tin Lui, Lung Yin Chuen, Cheung Tau Po San Chuen, Tin Hau Temple, Nam Hang, Fire Cracker Factory, detached farm houses and orchard. The area covered by these villages is about 30 acres. The traverse chainage was 31,800 feet, the misclose being 1 in 5000 with an average angular misclose of 40". The whole was plotted on Colony Sheets.

Sheung Shui Inland Lots Nos. 3 & 4 were surveyed and plotted on Colony Sheets the area being 13 acres and the chainage 10,700 feet.

Green Island and Little Green Island were surveyed in detail and were plotted on the Colony Sheets. The areas were 28½ acres and 4 acres respectively. A value of a station on the summit of the larger island was obtained by re-section methods and the survey carried out from that. As these Islands are detached from the larger island of Hong Kong and the mainland this method was considered sufficiently accurate for the purpose for which it was required.

13. The boundaries for 182 lots were defined on the ground for building purposes and boundary stones were fixed to 159 lots. The frontage lines to streets of 189 lots were checked.

In addition to the above the boundaries of Kai Tak Air Port and Reserve with areas of 157 acres and 9¾ acres respectively were set out and boundary stones fixed and co-ordinate values of each stone obtained and all detail was surveyed and plotted to a scale of 1/600 on the Colony Sheets.

An area of 29,500 square feet at Tsun Wan was set out for Reclamation purposes.

The extension to Argyle Street from Kowloon Hospital to the junction of Prince Edward Road was defined on the ground.
