A new Road 40 feet wide East of the Diocesan Boys School from Prince Edward Road to Argyle Street was set out.
The following blocks were set out on the ground for building purposes:-
The area bounded by Tung Choi Street, Bute Street, Prince Edward Road and Nullah Road.
New blocks on the Tai Po Road between the Old Frontier and New Kowloon Inland Lot No. 1.
Blocks bounded by Tai Nan Street, Prince Edward Road, Portland Street, Yu Chau Street and Cedar Street.
Three monuments were fixed defining the new road from Kowloon Tong through Kowloon Tsai to Kowloon City.
Lot 371 D.D. 186 with an area of 32 acres was defined.
The boundaries of Forestry Lot No. 125 at Sha Tau Kok comprising an area of 49 acres were defined on the ground and surveyed. Many surveys of miscellaneous character were carried out viz—for plans required to be attached to deeds of Surrender, plans for areas to be sold, plans for the Police Department in connection with criminal charges etc. and various plans for Departmental use. Boundaries of a number of lots were defined for the Drainage, General Works and Roads Offices.
SURVEY OF COLONY.
14. City of Victoria.—Revision work only has been carried out. The area surveyed was 36.5 acres of which 30 acres have been plotted. The total chainage made up chiefly of small subsidiary traverses was 39,500 feet the error in every case being well within the limit allowed.
15. Pokfulam. In this district 47.8 acres were surveyed and 55.8 acres were plotted. The chainage had a total length of 29,300 feet.
16. Repulse Bay.—Only 3.3 acres were surveyed and plotted with a chainage of 1,618 feet.
17. Aberdeen.—A survey has been commenced of Rural Building Lot No. 245 of which 9 acres have been completed and 5 acres plotted. This work entailed traverses of 3 miles in length.
18. Cemeteries.—The following were surveyed and the detail plotted on the Colony sheets viz:—The Chinese Christian, Mount Caroline, Kai Lung Wan. The total area was about 176 acres the chainage amounting to a length of 33 miles.
