That section of the work to the South of Argyle Street was completed early in the year. The remainder was not made a part of the contract since cutting from the working face in Argyle Street was used to fill in below the Railway Station.

153. Forming level areas in Tai Shek Ku Valley opposite Cemetery. This work was referred to in paragraph 145 of the Report for last year.
The work of filling in the old Indian Cemetery Area, referred to in paragraph 187 on page 90 of last year's report was completed early in the year.
Messrs. Li Hing & Bros. contractors for the above work, also carried out the filling in of the area opposite the Cemetery together with the provision of concrete stanchions and pipe railing for the Indian Cemetery as an extension of the contract.
The work was completed by the end of the year.
