27. Plans.-The following is a tabulated statement showing the number and type of buildings, in connection with which plans were deposited during the year, the figures for 1926 being given in a parallel column for purposes of comparison:-

The number of plans approved during the year was 2,481 as compared with 2,155 in 1926.
28. Certificates.-The following Certificates for new buildings were issued:-
224 under Section 204 of Ordinance No. 1 of 1903, covering 459 domestic buildings, of which 110 were European and 349 Chinese dwellings, and 106 covering 118 non-domestic buildings.
These figures show a decrease of 355 in the case of "domestic" and an increase of 1 in that of "non-domestic" buildings. Of the 110 European houses completed and certified, 60 are on the Kau Lung Tong Estate.
