Minor Death. Injury. Injury. Nil 1 Nil 1 Nil Nil 3 Nil 1 Nil Nil 175. Mr. Robert Baker, M. Inst. C. E., Engineer of Way and Works, was granted 10 months' leave from 3rd April and during his absence Mr. E. S. Carter acted as Engineer of Way and Works.
76. Mr. J. Smith, Works Foreman, Locomotive Department, was absent on leave from 6th March until 9th December and during this period Mr. I. B. Trevor assisted the Chief Mechanical Engineer.
77. Mr. F. W. Winyard, Traffic Inspector, proceeded to Japan on leave on 2nd May and returned to duty on 23rd July.
78. Mr. Albert Blyth, Inspector of Permanent Way, was invalided from the service during the year, and Mr. Archibald McCallum was appointed Inspector of Permanent Way.
