141. Kowloon Bay West Reclamation. This work, referred to in paragraph 180 of last year's Report, was completed by the end of the year.
Payment of the final bill was held up pending the settlement of certain claims put forward by the Contractors, The Hong Kong Engineering and Construction Company.

142. Chinese Cemeteries.-The work carried out under this heading has been alluded to in paragraph 39 of this Report.
1926 Estimates, $8,000.00 1926 Expenditure, $7,878.17143. Clearing and forming Areas West of Kowloon City Road. This work was referred to in paragraph 186 of last year's Report.
Progress was good.
(a) Blue and Yellow Areas.-By the end of the year an area of 40,000 square feet had been formed. It became necessary to adjust the levels of the layout, and consequently the sites were not made over to the owners.
(b) Hau Pui Loong and Hok Un Areas.-A contract for the sum of $59,400.00 was let to Mr. Man Gang on the 16th July, 1926.

Ma Tau Kok Cattle Depot.-Erection of Dog Cages. Royal Observatory.-Tile covering to the concrete roof of the photographic room.
King's Park Tennis Courts.-Shed built for storing tools used for the upkeep of the Kowloon British School allocation.
Filling in area at Mong Kok for the prevention of the breeding of Malarial Mosquitoes.—All hollows were filled in or drained.
