The Average Attendance was 38 (45 in 1924).
The new Peak Playground was ready for use in the Spring and has been much enjoyed by the children.
The Head Mistress reports that discipline has been well maintained and the results of Examinations were satisfactory.
The Annual School Sports were held this year in grounds at the Peak very kindly lent by Mr. & Mrs. Bernard, who generously entertained the children and their friends.
Mrs. Stark was absent on leave for the greater part of the year, and Miss Peck acted in her absence.
Quarry Bay School. The Maximum Enrolment was 58 (47 in 1924).
The Average Attendance was 45 (33 in 1924).
The Staff was increased during the year. The school continues to be very efficient. The health has been good. There has been 1 case of recurrent malaria.
In December the school lost the services of Mrs. Weston who has done much to bring the school to its present high state of efficiency.
GRANT SCHOOLS.
There are, as last year, twelve English Grant Schools, the Average Attendance at which is 3389.
All these schools were visited and inspected during the year.
Good work is being done, and in all cases the maximum Grant was awarded.
Faults and weaknesses, where noticed, were discussed with the Heads of Schools concerned. The chief weakness is still the English language,-written and spoken.
As in Government Schools, all pupils in Class 1 and 2-the highest Classes-in the Grant Schools are required to sit for the Examinations of the Hongkong University.
