An Annual Sports Meeting is held.
During the strike many old pupils did good work as special police and as stewards on board ship.
Wantsai School.-The Maximum Enrolment was 232 (218 in 1924).
The Average Attendance was 171 (212 in 1924).
The results of the Annual Examination were very satisfactory, 101 boys passing out of 104 examined. 12 boys out of 13 passed the Class 4 Examination; this Class has an English Speaking Club which meets once a week. The Pupils take a keen interest in football, basket-ball, and volley-ball. Several past pupils play football for the leading Chinese Club in the Colony and two have been chosen to play for China. All the boys swim during the Summer months at North Point.
During the year the water flush system has been installed.
Ellis Kadoorie School for Indians.--The Maximum Enrolment was 107 (98 in 1924).
The Average Attendance was 87 (90 in 1924).
Mr. Ralston acted as Head Master from September, Mr. Sutherland acting as an Inspector of English Schools.
At the Annual Examination (Common Entrance Examination) of Class 4 all the boys (17) passed.
In the remaining classes, of 84 examined 70 passed.
Reading, English, Colloquial and Recitation are good.
Geography and Map Drawing fair.
Urdu-especially Colloquial-is rapidly improving, and is now included among the ordinary pass-subjects in the Annual Examination.
"Script" writing is general throughout the school; a great improvement in handwriting and neatness has resulted.
Physical Instruction has been introduced in all classes, and is conducted by the Class Masters.
Games are very popular, and several Cricket Matches were played with other schools.
Discipline is good.
