At the Annual Examinations held in December the results were satisfactory, 247 boys "passing" out of 291 examined. In Class 4, 14 passed out of 16 examined. In other classes good results were obtained.
During the year the Staff Library and the Pupils' Library have been added to, reorganized and catalogued, and much new apparatus has been provided for the School.
Games are played regularly; swimming is very popular. The Boy Scouts won the 1st Place in the 2nd Rally for "H.R.H. The Prince of Wales Banner".
The School, in all its departments, is progressing.
In April Mr. de Rome was appointed Head Master in succession to Mr. R. E. O. Bird who retired on pension after many years' successful work in the service of the Education Department.
Saiyingpun School.—The Maximum Enrolment was 418 (448 in 1924).
The Average Attendance was 327 (421 in 1924).
At the Annual Examination very good results were obtained. 98.8% passed, only 3 boys failing out of 256 examined.
In Class 4, 57 boys sat for the Common Entrance Examination to Queen's College, and all passed.
Sports, especially Football, volley ball, swimming and ping-pong, are entered into with enthusiasm.
Mr. Morris, the Headmaster, was absent on Leave during the greater part of the year, his place being taken by Mr. Handyside.
Yaumati School.—The Maximum Enrolment was 282 (292 in 1924).
The Average Attendance was 221 (269 in 1924).
At the Annual Examination 157 passed out of 162 examined; in Class 4 out of 20 boys examined 19 passed.
Colloquial is weak in the Remove Classes, while Composition and Arithmetic have improved. Other Subjects are good.
Discipline is very good.
Increasing interest is taken in physical exercises and games are popular with most of the pupils; football, volley-ball, running and jumping are practised, and in the summer months the boys go on swimming picnics.
