6. Motor Drivers' School.—On account of the Strike and the shortage of Staff the training of Firemen in motor driving had to be suspended from July onwards. It is hoped that it will be possible to re-open the School early in 1926.
7. Pedestal Hydrants.—The work of substituting Pedestal for Ball Hydrants was continued during the year. 37 were placed in Hongkong and 23 in Kowloon. The total number is now 57 in Hongkong and 23 in the Kowloon Peninsula. These Hydrants are more efficient in every way than those of the old pattern.
