Compensation and Resumptions.-This vote provided for the, resumption of properties required for street widening and improvement schemes, and in connection with the development of the district in accordance with the approved Town Planning Scheme. 188. Distribution Mains,–Improvements and Extensions.—This work was referred to in paragraph 184 of last year's Report. The following is a list of the more important extensions carried out during the year:-
(a.) 1,700 lin. ft. of 8" main laid from the 12" main in Prince Edward Road along Sai Kung Road, Kowloon City.
(b.) 1,050 lín. ft. of 4" main laid from Sai Kung Road
along Kai Yan Road, Kowloon City.
(c.) 650 lin. ft. of 6" main laid in Jordan Road.
(d.) 750 lin. ft. of " main laid from (c) along Wai
Chung Street.
(e.) 400 lin. ft. of 6" main diverted at Blackhead's Point. (7.) 1,000 liu. ft. of 12" main laid Eastward along Prince Edward Road from its junction with Corona- tion Road.
