(v.) Island Road, surfacing for heavy traffic between Aberdeen and Stanley.—This road was strengthened at various places to withstand the increasing vehicular traffic.

(w.) Caine Road, widening and raising to new levels between Arbuthnot Road and Aberdeen Street.—The property on I.L. 94, between Shelley and Peel Streets, was rebuilt to the new alignment enabling the footpath to be raised to the new levels.
It was impossible to complete this work, as the resumption of certain properties to admit of the widening was not completed.
