(x.) General Works.-The following is a brief description of the principal works carried out under this heading :

The carriageway on the South of M. L. 52 was widened and surfaced with sand carpeting 2" thick, laid on a cement concrete foundation.

Consequent upon the erection of new buildings, kerbing and channelling operations were executed on the following roads, etc., the footpaths being paved and any necessary alterations in levels or alignment effected :-
