One 25-pair telephone cable was laid from Leighton Hill to Wongneichong Police Station.
One 10-pair telephone cable was laid from the terminal box at the back of the Dairy Farm Building to Government House.
Twenty-one new telephones and seven extensions were installed in various Government Buildings.
A bell system of fifteen bells was installed between Central Telephone Exchange and the Police Quarters, Caine Road.
The submarine cable between Lantau Island and the Mainland was damaged and repaired.
The following new buildings were wired for lights and fans:
Officers Quarters, Broadwood Road,
Officers Quarters, Elliot Filter Beds,
Government Garage at Wanchai, lights only,
Government Garage at Stubbs Road, lights only.

were re-wired:
A new underground electric light cable was laid in the grounds of Government House for lighting purposes.
Typhoon signal lights were installed at Gough Hill Police Station.
Improvements to lights and fans were effected in 66 existing Government Buildings.
The lifts in various Government Buildings were maintained in good order.
52. Maintenance of Sewers, Nullahis, &c.—The sewers, storm-water drains, and trained nullahs generally were cleansed, repaired and maintained in good condition, the open nullahs and channels in the City of Victoria and in the Shaukiwan District being cleansed by the Sanitary Department. The automatic flushing tanks were operated during periods of low tide. Sand deposits were cleared as they occurred.
On account of the high tenders received for the annual maintenance contract of 1924, the whole of the maintenance of sewers, nullahs &c. was carried out departmentally.
