149. Hydraulic Ram and Distribution System for Lower Wanchai Gap District.—This work was referred to in paragraph 133 of last year's Report. All work under this heading was completed by the end of the year.
1. The works comprised:—Two Blake Rams capable of delivering 18,000 gallons of water per day against a head of 640 feet with a drive head of 30.5 feet.
2. 370 feet of 7" W.I. drive pipes and 1,520 feet of 4″ W.I. delivery main.
3. Two slow sand filter beds each 28 square yards and a service reservoir of 36,500 gallons capacity T.W.L. 919.5 O.D. situated above Stubbs Road near Wanchai Gap.
4. 2" W.I. distributing main extending Eastwards to the junction of Bowen and Stubbs Roads and in a Westerly direction to the junction of Magazine Gap and May Roads.
After several small alterations and experiments, the Rams were kept in constant use and are supplying the houses on Magazine Gap Road and also those on Stubbs Road below Wanchai Gap.

150. Repulse Bay Water Supply, Extended Scheme.—This work was referred to in the latter portion of paragraph 135 of last year's Report.
The 2" main was extended for a length of 3,500 feet, from behind R.B.L. 158, to feed a 10,000 gallon Service Reservoir on the spur above West Bay.
The Service Reservoir is situated at an elevation of 430 feet A.O.D. and will feed the West Bay District.
