The total revenue collected amounted to $11,813.89 of which $8,327.94 were derived from the sale of postage stamps and $3,485.95 from the sale of revenue stamps on behalf of the Treasury as against $17,056.93 composed of $14,718.03 derived from the sale of postage stamps and $2,338.90 from the sale of revenue stamps in 1914. The decrease is due to the war and the withdrawal of troops from Kowloon. The opening of the new branch office at Yaumati which is a long way off cannot be considered to have contributed in any way to the decrease in revenue at this branch. A sub-office of the General Post Office, Money Order Office, established mainly to meet the demands of the Indian troops stationed in Kowloon, is located at this Branch Post Office.
11.—YAUMATI DISTRICT BRANCH POST OFFICE.
A new Branch Post Office was opened at Yaumati, a thickly populated district on the Kowloon Peninsula inhabited almost entirely by Chinese, on the 1st July. The want of postal facilities in this locality has been felt for some years. The Tsim-Sha-Tsui Branch Post Office is too far away to be of any use to Yaumati and Mongkok both of which districts have been growing rapidly in recent years especially since the opening of the Railway to Canton.

It is anticipated that as this branch becomes better known there will be a considerable increase in the revenue collected there.
