HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL
of the Resettlement Policy Select Committee. It has been suggested that the Assistant Director of Social Welfare (Social Work) should come off the Select Committee as it is not thought that the Social Welfare Department need be permanently represented. My Select Committee has no objection to the Assistant Director coming off the Select Committee on the understanding that the Social Welfare Department will be pleased to send a representative to any meeting at which an important social welfare matter is to be discussed.
