In connection with resumption of trades and establish ment of exchange control Hong Kong Bank has kindly loaned administration part time services of one of their staff who was formerly Exchange Controller in Calcutta. They are bowever only prepared to do this for comparatively short period and it is therefore essential that some trained assistant should be provided in near future. Besides work performed by Financial side of Secretariat in normal times there is much additional work involving simplified procedure for collection of rates and collection of other forms of revenue. Question of compensation for articles requisitioned is additional source of work as is the liquidation of the Yokohama Specia Bank. Excluding the Accounts Branch which is outside this particular review duties mentioned above have been carried out by one Office and one part time assistant with another whole time Officer on liquidation of the Yokohama Specie Bank and examination of safe deposit boxes and vaults (?under it).
