American Press correspondent has asked Press Attache whether Embassy have any comment on statement by Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs at Press conference yesterday. Statement was in reply to an enquiry as to the position regarding acceptance of Japanese surrender in Hong Kong and French Indo-Ching and Dr. Wu is quoted as having claimed that as these territories form part of the China theatre surrender would presumably he accepted by a nominee of Chiang-kai-shek as Supreme Commander in that theatre.
