My telegram No. 1110 to Shanghai [of the 11th November: announcement of withdrawal of troops from North China] and your telegram No. 1475 [of the 11th November] to me.
It is important that statements to the press here and in the Far East should be closely similar and I should be glad if you would substitute wording of War Office communiqué for state- ment proposed in your telegram No. 1475.
