A Dyeing & Finishing section has been working several months. Spinning, consisting of about 17,000 spindles, started about a month ago. Works at Yenping Road. This is a British concern.
Kwang Ching Cotton Mill
About 11,000 spindles, now being erected, expect to run in one or two months. Most of the machinery is new, ordered since the outbreak of hostilities. Works at Mapai Road.
Oriental Cotton Mill
About 8,000 spindles, a British Company. Machinery was ordered before the war, intended for Changchow.
Works at Bubbling
Well Road.
Has been running for several months.
China Cotton Manufacturing Co. Inc.
Works at Yenping Road. Weaving and dyeing section already at work. 12,000 spindles will be working soon. Machinery originally ordered for Ching Foong Cotton Mill, Wusih.
Chong Hsing Cotton Mill
Formerly of Wusih. Set up a weaving and dyeing section several months ago, recently ordered 11,000 spindles of new

Yih Hsing Worsted Mill
Also 200 looms now being erected.
Consists of 3,600 spindles worsted machinery, 50 looms.
Shanghai Worsted Mill

A new extension of 1,200 worsted spindles, 15 looms, and a finishing plant has just been made.
Yue Foong Worsted Mill
About 30 worsted looms were set up a few months ago. Recently an order has been placed for about 2,000 spindles of worsted spinning machinery.
