Sino Japanese hostilities on Hong Kong border.
Copy telegram from General Officer Commanding Hong Kong No. 8636 of October 5th. Chinese troops have now withdrawn, but attacks may be repeated as several thousand Chinese regular troops are in vicinity of Waichow. British officers have visited Japanese headquarte s at Shumchun and have seen no sign that these have been reinforced.
