ANNEX.

CONTROL AND ALLOTMENT OF

SPECIAL SHIPPING AND CRAFT FOR TRAINING AND OPERATIONS.

Memorandum by the Commander-in-Chief, Home Forces,

I think it right to state the present situation with regard to the special shipping and craft available in Home Waters for training and operations in which Home Forces night take part.

Control.

2.

At their 356th Meeting, the Chiefs of staff approved Directives to the Adviser on Combined Operations (C.O.S. (41) 682) and myself (C.0. S. (41)630).

3.

From these, it would appear that the allotment of special shipping and craft was controlled by the Chiefs of Staff through the Admiralty, with whom and with whose Commanders-in-Chief I and my Army Commanders are authorised to deal direct.
