The average weekly increment of British sea-going ships and tonnage over the 42 weeks was about 8.9 ships and 36,000 gross tons, compared with an average weekly loss due to enemy action alone, for the same period, of 5-3 ships and 24,000 gross tons, and an average weekly loss from all causes (including Marine risks) of 7.1 ships and 30,000 gross tons.
