THE list below gives the distribution of the French Fleet so far as this is known. It should be noted that the class described as light cruisers refers to a type of ship smaller than our 6-inch cruisers but larger than a destroyer.

APPENDIX V.
Casualties to Naval Personnel.
DURING the week under review the following casualties have been reported: Officers: 12 killed, 2 missing, 4 wounded. Men: 40 killed, 4 missing, 14 wounded.
