Transfer Act, 1875.
WHEREAS it is expedient to cheapen and facilitate the sale of 383 39 Vice.
land, and for that purpose to amend the Land Transfer Act,
1875, in this Act called "the principal Act”:

OFFICE OF Land Transfer and Registration of Land. Establishment of Office.
1. A board shall be established, charged with the duty of Establish facilitating the sale and transfer of land.
The board shall be called “the Land Transfer Board,” and shall consist of a registrar-general, a chief examiner of titles, and an 15 assistant registrar to be appointed by the Lord Chancellor, who
shall have power to fill up all vacancies in their body,

The board shall have a principal office in London, and branch offices at such places in England as may from time to time be deter- mined by order of the Lord Chancellor.
There shall be annexed, by order of the Lord Chancellor, to such principal office in London and to each of the branch offices a district, in this Act referred to as “a land transfer district," for the purposes of the sale and transfer of land.
The board shall be assisted in the execution of their duties by such 25 district registrars, examiners of title, officers, clerks, messengers, and servants as the Lord Chancellor, with the concurrence of the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury as to number and salaries, may by order from time to time appoint.
