(6.) In the Valuation (Metropolis) Act, 1869:

Borough" shall be substituted for the "City of

London";

"Urban sanitary authority" shall be substituted for

“ district board":

"Electoral division” shall be substituted for “ union”

County clerk" shall be substituted for “clerk of the "managers of the metropolitan asylum district," and any reference to the sending of valuation lists or documents by such clerk to the assessment committee, 10 or by the assessment committee to the clerk, shall be construed to refer to the sending of documents by or to the statutory committee to or by the county clerk; "Clerk of the statutory committee of an electoral

division shall be substituted for the clerk of the 15 assessment committeo.

(c.) The printed copy of totals mentioned in section seventeen of the Valuation (Metropolis) Act, 1869, need not be sent to the Commissioner of Police or the Metropolitan Board of Works.

(d.) Any appeal touching the valuation list of a parish which, under the Valuation Acts, lies to special sessions or a court of general assessment sessions shall lie to the county court judge of the district in which the parish is situate, and where under the said Acts any appeal might 25 have been had from a decision of such special sessions or a general assessment sessions, an appeal may be had from the decision of the county court judge.

(e.) The county court judge sball, within the times mentioned

in the said Acts, hold such courts as may be necessary 30 for hearing appeals against the valuation lists of the several parishes within his district, and may hold those courts at such places as are convenient for hearing the appeals, and, for the purposes of such appeals, shall have the same power and jurisdiction as he has for any of the purposes of the Acts relating to county courts, and the proceedings on any appeal from such judge shall be the same as in the case of any other appeal under the Acts relating to county courts, and rules and orders may be made and fees may be fixed in like manner as in the case 40 of other proceedings in the county court.
