Orders to O.C. Section IV (Sandy Bay).

General Duties. -The Section Commander will at all times keep himself familiarized with the character of the area comprised in his command, with all detail of troops and matériel assigned to his section, and with the objects and duties intrusted to him.

On mobilization he will be directly responsible to the General Commanding for at once reporting any deficiencies, for maintaining the discipline and efficiency of the troops placed under his charge, and for the due performance of these instructions.

Any officers and men of the Fortress Company and Submarine Mining Company who may be localized in the sections will be under his command, but subject to the supervision for engineering and submarine mining purposes of the Engineer officers in charge of the district and of submarine mining respectively.

Area. The area of this section is that comprised within the triangle of which the base is the coast-line from the north-west point of Mount Davis to Taihowan Bay, and the sides are the lines joining those points with Victoria Peak, the southern side passing through Castle Douglas and up the centre of the southern spur of High West.
