18. No. 4 Sub-section.-Eastern Boundary: The Line Hammer Hill, Middle Hill, Sleepers' Knoll (inclusive).

Western Boundary: The Kowloon City, Kowloon Pass Road (exclusive). Headquarters: Tate's Cairn.

Troops. As per Table B (ii), Chapter II.

Duties. To furnish observation post by day, to hold Shatin Pass and Crown Point. Support to furnish standing patrol by night and in foggy weather on Shatin Road, and standing patrol to be furnished by night on patrol path near Garter Pass.

Patrol to be furnished from Shatin Pass through Garter Pass, to Kowloon Pass and back viâ Crown Point. Patrol to be furnished through Farm Plateau to Grasscutters Pass. Patrol also to Dome Hill.

Duties. To furnish observation post by day. To hold Eagle's Nest against raid, and to watch approaches between Kowloon Pass and sea shore at Wong Uk.

Visiting patrol by night and in foggy weather from Railway Pass Blockhouse to Kowloon Pass Blockhouse.

Blockhouse opposite dam to furnish patrol on Frontier Road and along catchment by night and in foggy weather.

Blockhouse, Lai-chi-kok, to guard Waterworks Tunnel, defensible house, Wong Uk, to furnish standing patrol by night and in foggy weather on Gin Drinkers Bay Road some 450 yards from house where road bifurcates.
