11. Sanitation.-Officers Commanding detachments in camp or bivouacking are responsible for all sanitary arrangements in their vicinity.
12. Sick. The sick belonging to the Eastern portion of the section (Lau Tong to Crown Point inclusive) will be treated in the camp of the support at Rennie's Farm. Those in the Western portion (No. 5 Sub-section) and Royal Engineers and British Infantry will be sent by road to Station Hospital, Kowloon.
13. Works.-Orders as to priority of importance of work to be executed during the precautionary stage will be issued by the Section Commander when troops move out, and from time to time.
14. Headquarters.-During precautionary stage the Section Commander will be in Kowloon.
(ii) War Stage.
15. The duties entrusted to the troops allotted to this section are to prevent the enemy effecting a lodgment on the hills dominating Kowloon between Chin-lan-chu, Tate's Cairn, Beacon Hill, to Wong Uk.
16. The Mainland Section Commander will be in administrative charge of all troops on the Mainland, including those of the General Reserve.
17. No. 3 Sub-section.-Eastern Boundary, the line of the Lau Tong Valley (inclusive); Western Boundary, a line drawn through Hammer Hill, Middle Hill, Sleepers' Knoll (exclusive).
Headquarters: Rennie's Farm or Chin-lan-chu.
Troops. As per Table B (ii), Chapter II.
Duties. To patrol the path Lau Tong-Kun Tong, to patrol the path Lau Tong- Rennie's Flour Mill, joining hands with Eastern Fire Command patrols from Haiwan, at Rennie's Flour Mill.
To hold Chin-lan-chu Blockhouse area.
Duties of Customs Pass: To furnish observation post by day, to hold Customs Pass against raids from north to east on either side of Customs Hill.
Line of defence from Hill 1060 to Customs Hill, both inclusive. An infantry piquet will be detailed by night and in foggy weather from the support, to furnish standing patrols on the Ho-chung Road and at Chin-lan-chu village, and examining guard.
