CHANGES IN THE ENGLAND SOCCER TEAM UNLIKELY TO UPSET SIDE'S BALANCE
London, Oct. 6.
Two changes made in England's football team since it was first selected do not appear likely to upset the balance of the side when it opens the season's international programme tomorrow by meeting Ire- Tand in Belfast.
Aston, of Manchester United, takes over the left-back position from Eckersley, of Blackburn, who is unfit and Langten, of Bolton, will be on the left wing for Finney, of Preston, who has an ankle injury.
While England may not repeat their nine-goals to two win at Manchester last year they are nevertheless expected to open the programme with a win. Most of the team took part in the World Cup Games in which England did not shine and there are those who believe that some of the men are lucky to get another chapco after the failures of the Rio de Janeiro tour.
