While the protection of foreign lives, and respect of properties was rigidly which Were enforced, nothing was otherwise ascertainable by foreign enterprises, completely disregarded and unable to resume their normal functioning.

Foreign banks are remaining closed despite their desire to resume, and canse. Many are facing financial difficulties since quently foreign traders are paralysed. the newly-created People's Bank is exchanging Gold Yuan and foreign currencies into people's money.
