Capetown, Feb., 1.--Wool brokers are complaining that South African wool is being used a n Currency rather than a commodity.
These brokers believe that the Union is losing. millons of dollars because European countries are buying South African wool and later reselling to the United States.
They refuse, however, to identify tre European countries they claim are involved in the operation.
The Continental countries tho brokers say, need dollars more than they do South African wool, so they have. In some instances, sold the wool in the US nt prices lower than they paid in South Africa.
Thus, the brokers said, the wool is being used as currency.
