The F. A. Cup Draw
London, Nov. 16-With the drawing of the first round proper of the Football Association Cup, the most coveted trophy in English football, a short explanation on the different rounds of the competi tion may enlighten some followers of the game, who are a little puzzled by the procedure.
This season, 68 numbered balls, representing clubs, went into the hat nt Leicester for the first round proper.. Since September 4 amateur and small professional clubs throughout the country have been knocking each other out in preliminary rounds and the 25 survivors joined the 43 who had been exempted until the first round proper of the competition.
Two non-league clubs corned the right to be among the 43-Colchester United for their wonderful achieve ments last season, and Leytonstone, by virtue of their amaicur triumph last year.

London, Nov. 16.-Promoter Jack Solomons reported today that all 10,600 sents in the Harringay Aréna were sold for the Bruce Woodcock-Lee Savold heavyweight fight on December 6—before a slagle tickel was printed.
Solomons said that 10 guinea (US$42) ringside seats could have been sold out several times over. The bout is expected to be an acid test of Woodcock's comeback fol- lowing his knockout by Joa Baksi in April, 1947.
