NEXT WEEK IN
HARMONICA VIRTUOSO FROM
ZBW STUDIO
First Of 6 Recitals By Chamber Huang
Chamber Huang, the noted Shanghai harmonica player, makes a welcome return to Hongkong radio next week. On Wednesday, at 9.15 p.m., he will give the first of six weekly programmes from the ZBW studio, accompanied on the piano by Clara Stansfeld.
Mr Huang will be remembered by many listeners for his fine broadcasts last year and this accomplished per- former on the harmonica will offer a refreshingly new feature for local radio once again.
An interesting programme will be heard from ZBW at 8.45 p.m., on Friday, when the BBC adaptation of Orpheus in the Underworld will be broadcast. The original work is by Offenbach and Jacque
Hector with the English version Cremieux,
adaptation by and broadcasting Geoffrey Dunn. Feature is the BBC Theatre Orchestra and Chorus under the direction of Waller Gochr.
Details of the week's programmes follow.
