LONDON, June 2 (UP).-The Netherlands Navy went into action to-day when, according to an official communique, the Dutch warship, Van Kinsbergen, inter- cepted the French ship Winnipeg while she was in West Indies water, bound from Dakar to Martinique.
More than 200 Germans were aboard.
"The reason for the presence of these Germans is not at all clear, and they are now undergoing examination," stated the communique.
No details were released as to the fate of the Winnipeg. The Van Kinsbergen is a ship of 1,760 tons, carries a com-. plement of 190 men, and is capable of a speed in excess of 25 knots.
