"ZIEGFELD GIRL" TOP PRIZE
Victor Kalin, young artist of Lawrence, Kansas, was winner of the first prize of $500 for his stream- lined Ziegfeld Girl entered in the national Ziegfeld Girl contest sponsored by the Art Students League of New York. More than 1,000 paintings were submitted in this competition by artists and art students.
Second prize of $200 was awarded to Leon Nowak, 6913 Krakow Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, and third cash prize of $100 to Melville A. Phillips, 1 Second Street, Lynbrook, Long Island. Four prizen of $50 each were won by J. Clark Worth of Westport, Connecticut; Jaque Carlton, 301 No. Second Drive, Newton Texas; Shirley Nadonley, 740 Riverside York City, and Frank Nicolet, Room 1222, 561 Fifth Avenue.
