Truelight Schoolgirls Defeat Cardinals
(By "Ball Fan")
Noaring the end of a rapid spring training programme at the Caroline Hill sand dunes, local major league baseball clubs are expected to break camp pretty soon, heading north for the gala season opener. Showing signs of ball-playing weariness, Tulsa's mighty baseball machine divid- ed their two games week-end card as they crushed a weak-playing Royal Engineer nine, in a Saturday afternoon confab, to the sweet tune of 25-0, behind the charmed hurling of Babe Strickland, but took a bad 10-4 loss as the H.B. Beermen slugged home with their second straight pre- season win.
