New Appointment
A "Pathological Hatred"
LONDON, Dec. 23 (Reuter).—An outburst of wrath in the German press greeted the appointment of Mr Anthony Eden as Foreign Secretary.
The "Boersen Zeitung" writes: "With Eden there comes to the Foreign Office a man whose activities have been dictated by pathological hatred of the authoritarian States. With this ap pointment, London expects improvement in British-Russian rela- tions and a stiffening of attitude to Japan, Spain and other members of the Axis.
"The answer to these Illusions will
be a crushing one. All these nations, including the Soviet, will only see
