(By "Ripple")

FIRST HEATS for the swimming champion- ships of the Colony will be held this evening in the Victoria Recreation Club pool. Those, how- ever, will only be for three of the five champion-in ship ovents that are on the schedule, for in the women's 100 yards back-stroke and the women's 200 yards free-style relay there are five and three entries rospectively, and as there are five lanes in the pool, heats should not be necessary.
