South China's Colours Lowered: Winning Goal
In Closing
Minutes
(By "Rex")
With bated breath an onormous crowd wit- nossed the lowering of the standard of South China “A” in their home ground yesterday. In an atmosphere tense with anxiety, Eastern recovered after a short lapse to net the winning goal in five to carry off the Senior Shield for their first time.
Eastern netted in the first minute of play and led by the odd goal in three at the interval. It was not until Lee Wai-tong had scored the equaliser in the 25th minute of the second half that Eastern threw caution to the wind and ran the ragged.South China off their feet.
