With bated broath an enormous crowd wit- nessed the lowering of the standard of South China "A" in their home ground yesterday. In an atmosphere tense with anxiety, Eastern recovered after a short lapse to not the winning goal in five to carry off the Senior Shield for their first time.
Eastern netted in the first minute of play and led by the odd goal in three at the interval.
