WITH a fierce rour the Spitfires swooped to the at- tack, even as the Nazi ob- server saw their approach. and muttered fiercely to his pilot.

The Spitfires dispersed for the attack and suddenly the skies became alive with the noise of battle..

A rain of machine-gun bullets shriek- ed around the Nazi flotilla. A leaden hell snarled around the planes as, diving and swooping, Bobby and his team stabbed viciously at the invaders..

Like giant, graceful birds the Spitfires screamed through the air, never letting up on their re- lentless peppering..

The Nazi pilots' lips tight- ened. This was a warmer re- ception than they had expected.

With a gronn, one of them let go his controls as a bullet bit viciously into his hand. He dragged his glove off with his teeth and glanced ruefully at his hand.

Hastily the navigator began, to bind up his pilot's wound, yet they never relaxed their vigi. lance. They dare not. The Spitfires were rushing into the attack again.

With a miraculous burst of speed Dopey put his plane into a dive. Down it hurtled like an A rain avenging thunderbolt. of bullets found its mark and the Nazi pilot collapsed, chok- ing, oter his controla.
