"For days the weather was terrible and we were continually balling water out of the beat.
"On Wednesday, November 22, the weather improved slightly, and wo macie a sail out of two overcoats. That evening we saw the dash of a lighthouse and knew that at last we were near land.
"Then we sighted trawler and yelled until her crew heard us and came to our rescue."
