New Drug Hope For Epilepsy Patients

DISTINGUISHED experts in mental medicine saw in the Royal Pavilion, Brighton, recently a demonstration of a machine which translatés brain abnormalities into flickering spots and lines of light on a screen rather like that of a television set.

They heard speaker after speaker at the annual conference of the Royal Medico-Psychological Association stress results obtained from the use in cases of epilepsy of the new drug epanutin.

Two epileptic subjects-a girl and a youth-had the machine, demonstrated with them as patients. Their identities were not disclosed, but the "News Chronicle" understands that one of them is the child of wealthy parents.
