NAZI CHIEFS QUARREL

OVER JESTER "Robey" Of Germany

BERLIN

WERNER Finck, Germany's George Robey, who was banned by Dr. Goebbels for "wise-cracking" about the Nazi Party and Dr. Goebbels, is causing trouble between party leaders.

Since 1983, Finck, with his breezy "gagging" and sly quips, has been convulsing German audiences. A new Finck joke spreads through the country like wildfire.

For one of his jokes he announced Field-Marshal Goring, who keeps a -to-his audience that the inanagement nie af jokes made against himself, hus regretted that "Old German Fairy regarded Finck as an unofficial court Tales" and been taken from the pro- jester. gramme. A political lecture would, however, be delivered in its place.

Field-Marshal Goring and Count Helldorf, police chief of Bertin, are piqued at Dr. Goebbels because he acted alone. They met to discuss the position recently.

Count Helldort thinks the ban re- flects on him, for as Berlin police chier it seams he should have closed down Herr Finck's show when 11 opened five weeks ago.

Dr. Goebbels has not power to send Finck to a concentration camp. This authority is held by Field-Marshal Goring, and it is understood he has decided it will not be necessary.

Meanwhile, Dr. Goebbels, in an at- tempt to justify his action, which the country and many high Nazis regard as absurd, has launched a Humour Contest" in his paper Angrig. Ther prize for a "true German Joke" i £50.
